Andrew Mitchell
Founder and Senior Portfolio Manager | B. Ec (Hons), MAppFin
Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in portfolio management of listed companies, stockbroking and economic analysis. Prior to co-founding Ophir, Andrew worked from 2007 to 2011 as a portfolio manager at Paradice Investment Management.
Before joining Paradice, Andrew worked at CommSec Institutional Equities as a Small Caps Analyst and Economist from 2005-2007. From 2002-2005, Andrew worked as a Policy Analyst at the Commonwealth Department of the Treasury with the principal role of updating the Federal Treasurer on economic developments within the Asian region.
Andrew has an Economics Degree with Honours from Adelaide University and a Master of Applied Finance from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
Steven Ng
Founder and Senior Portfolio Manager | B. Acc, CFA
Steven has over 20 years’ experience in portfolio management of listed companies and management consulting. Prior to co-founding Ophir Steven worked with Andrew Mitchell as a portfolio manager at Paradice from 2009 to late 2011. His portfolio management experience also includes a successful track record managing portfolios at Credit Suisse Asset Management (2007-2009), ING Investment Management (2004-2007) and Macquarie Asset Management (2002-2004).
Prior to joining the funds management industry Steven worked as a management consultant at Bain International. Steven was awarded the University Medal for the Bachelor of Accounting at the University of Technology Sydney and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
George Chirakis
Chief Executive | B. Com, LLB (Hons), MBA (Exec)
George has over 15 years’ experience working in the investment management industry in a variety of roles. Prior to joining Ophir, George held a number of senior positions at AMP Capital in Sydney including Head of SMSF & Self-Directed Wealth where he led AMP Capital’s private client business and Head of Marketing where he was responsible for marketing to institutional, financial adviser and private client segments.
Prior to this, George held a number of positions at Fidelity in London working closely with investment teams including as a Corporate Governance Analyst. George started his career as a commercial and tax lawyer at Kelly & Co in Adelaide providing legal advice to corporations and high net wealth individuals.
At Ophir, George leads all distribution activities across institutional, wholesale and private clients. George graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce.
Luke McMillan
Head of Research | B. Com, MBA, MAppFin
Luke has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry working in several investment research, management and advice roles at Perpetual and Grant Thornton. Immediately prior to joining Ophir, Luke was Head of Investment Advice at Perpetual Private as a senior member of the investment team responsible for the management of $14 billion of High Net Worth Investors and Not-For-Profits funds.
While studying at University, Luke was a professional basketball player in the Australian National Basketball League and played six seasons with the Melbourne Tigers and the West Sydney Razorbacks. Luke decided to retire from basketball in 2004 to focus on his career in the finance industry.
Luke holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Masters of Business Administration with High Distinction from the Melbourne and London Business Schools, a Masters of Applied Finance with High Distinction from FINSIA and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Sandra Donnarumma
Chief Operating Officer | Chartered Accountant, BA in Accountancy, GAICD
Sandra has extensive experience within the financial services sector with expertise in investment operations, finance, compliance, risk management, governance, and regulatory reform. Prior to Ophir, Sandra held a number of senior executive roles in boutique fund managers and global investment banks, including Monash Investors, Westpac Institutional Banking, and Deutsche Bank. Sandra started her career as a senior auditor with KPMG and has also worked as a management consultant to Boards in NFP and government agencies.
Sandra is a Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
